As of August 2024 the follower count stands at circa 25,000 across the social media network, with a variable global reach of up to 5 million people per month. See our reach stats here.

ALGORITHMS, SHARES & LIKES
The "reach" of any article, links and profile are directly governed and influenced by the number of and type of activity surrounding them. BENEFITS OF WRITING FOR HOUGHTON & MACKAY
Writers who wish to build their online presence whilst featuring in a live publishing platform may choose to write with Houghton & Mackay.
Unlike many sites attracting writers, where the audience and writers are indistinguishable Houghton & Mackay is different. When your work is published you gain the full audience to yourself. As a result, writers for Houghton & Mackay benefit from being part of a focused, developing project. At present the writer to audience ratio is approximately 30,000 - 1.
We know it is very hard for the beginners to access large mainstream publications as these companies often want experienced, well-known writers in order to sell copy. At the other end of the spectrum, writers struggle against many thousands of people competing for "reads" or "likes" on other websites.
Our objective is to develop the quality and depth of our prose, attract those starting out and develop a community of growing, developing talent. With Houghton & Mackay, the focus is the subjects of lifestyle, culture and wealth, we want the avant-garde, the unique, attracting new ideas, and new talent.

The fee (if relevant) agreed prior to the article being published may not be claimed in lieu, and any prior agreements cannot be changed once an article has been published.
